natural health doctorDr. Gitterle is a graduate of the UT Medical School at San Antonio, and both an Emergency Medicine specialist, and an Integrative Medicine and Natural Wellness consultant to individuals and other physicians. He is an member of the clinical faculty of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and served for 5 years as Medical Director of a very busy, regional emergency department.

For more than 15 years, Dr. Gitterle has provided evidence-based wellness consultations, combining the best of conventional as well as alternative and integrative strategies. He is the founder of two nutritional supplement companies, Ideal Nutrition, LLC, and Frontier Nutritional Research, LLC. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine (BCEM of American Academy of Physician Specialists).

He was one of the first physicians in the US to pass the demanding, written board examination of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. He holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is also trained and certified in Hyperbaric Medicine.

His research has included the use of advanced information tools for decision analysis in medical diagnosis, including research involving the DxPlain system at Mass General Hospital, for which he was recognized for outstanding research as a resident. He has appeared on Fox TV, and nationally syndicated radio, discussing such topics as anti-aging, immune enhancement and natural wellness strategies. He lives in Central Texas with his wife and two children.
